We saw them on Entertainment Tonight Canada, the fashion guru critiquing a recent award show wearing over-the-knee transparent plastic boots. Yes, we love all boots.  Looks are all curves with dressy silhouettes accentuated with ruching; the ultra feminine, soft pretty gathering done along seams of dresses, pants, blouses, sweaters, and even jackets. With the soft ice cream colours of Spring fashions, a little ruching goes a long way to look fabulous on most every body type.

The Asymmetrical line of design continues to flash hot, hot, hot this year with cross lines going from neckline to hemline, on body wraps to halter tops and along thigh-high slits to an Asymmetrical bottom on pants, skirts, from mini, midi and long, including formal dresses and jumpsuits.

Colour us Spring any time. It’s so refreshing after an icy winter and our big star colour this season is Lavender. Who doesn’t look great in a little or a lot of lavender? Next to it, pairing discreetly, comes “Millennial Pink”, no doubt named for the fashionista age group, as an adjacent shade and super popular in knits, suiting and whimsical dressing with lots of feminine florals, and appliqués and feathers.

For men, thank you thank you, tailoring is back, big time. A suit or two is a must and a great combo of a double-breasted blazer and pleated or flat long slim slacks looks divine.   The ‘ultra-short’ is it for Spring-Summer 2019 so good-bye to khakis and trunks, hello to great looking pleated shorts in exciting fabrics. From baby blue, which is super fine on pretty well every guy, to sage green and stone, our men’s fashion palate is natural with a dash of extraordinary.   And look now to see that fabric patterns have gone crazy for guys including fabulous shirts that are long, short, wrapped or belted. Men can pull out all the stops in 2019 and have fun with expressing their individual style with tons of choices this Spring & Summer. Looking good fellas.
