Whether it’s fashion for our bodies or for our homes, these are a few important new trends to integrate into your lifestyle that you can keep in mind when shopping for a refreshing new idea to add to your look as we head into winter. For now, let’s talk wardrobe and what was streaming down the runways of the world.

Fringe or tassels is a huge fashionable addition to boots, tops, skirts, dresses, jewellery, you name it and it’s not just the 1960’s hippie fringe that’s back in style, returning now decades later.   The elevated addition to highlight our fashion using fringe applies to chic office wear, gorgeous outerwear, (coats especially) and fun stylish dresses and skirts with wide-cut fringe that looks so new and fresh. These are not your normal narrow fringe benefits. These are wide, split panels or fabulous long carwash fringe on coats and capes. Global designers’ have their imaginations running wild with ideas to shake rattle and roll your look this season with an elevated Boho statement that makes for cutting edge clothing, literally.

Chains. My baby’s got me locked up in chains (of love)…….chainlink, large and bold has been spotted all over the fashion world. Chains are flowing from head to toe including jewellery, chain-handled handbags, jacket clips, belts and clinging to boots and shoes or even hats.   Think ‘chains of love’ and find your super link to this style element this season.

Other fashion trends making a big statement this season are fabulous capes, vintage 1940s fashions, bubble hemlines (think 1980s), snoods (reminiscent a la’ medieval times), super styling skirt suits, sexy cut-outs in evening dresses, long smooth column dresses, curly shearling fur accents on clothing and handbags, chic puffer coats, and yet another ‘nouveau grunge’ style sparked by looks from 1992.   All of these design elements likening to perhaps ‘looking back in time’ rather than ahead. That’s what fashion does when things are not so easy in our current life; we tend to look back to what we know. That said, we still have trending fashion options that offer endless choices and are easy to include to elevate our outfits and make them pop. And it’s all a lot of fun to wear.  So enjoy the browsing and choose a new piece or two to add to your existing wardrobe and align your fashion look to Fall Winter 2020-21 in your own very iconic way.
